Brenda LePage

Ms. LePage successfully completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Saskatchewan majoring in Psychology with a Political Science Minor. She joined the Correctional Service of Canada in 1984 as a Living Unit Officer.

She has worked in minimum, medium and maximum security facilities including the Special Handling Unit as well as in Community Corrections. She has held a variety of positions such as Living Unit Officer, Case Management Officer Institution, Parole Officer Community, Senior Project Officer NHQ, Patient Care Manager, Deputy Warden and Warden.

In addition to this she was on a special assignment in Ottawa, from 1990/92, working on the design and implementation of the new prisons for women.

She was appointed Deputy Warden of Saskatchewan Penitentiary in April 1996; Warden Saskatchewan Penitentiary in February 2000; and then Warden of Riverbend Institution September 3, 2002. She returned to her post as Warden Saskatchewan Penitentiary in January 2005. In January 2008 she joined CSC’s Transformation Team at NHQ where she worked until her appointment as Deputy Commissioner, Prairie Region on April 14, 2009.

Ms. LePage has been active in her community volunteering as both a coach and manager for various sporting teams, board member for a number of non-profit and non-governmental organizations and coordinator for the Terry Fox Run.
