Liette Dumas-Sluyter
Ms. Liette Dumas-Sluyter has worked in the Public Service for over 27 years, gaining extensive experience as an executive in the audit, compliance, performance management and financial management fields. In 2006, Ms. Dumas-Sluyter became the first Chief Audit Executive at the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC). In March 2010, she took on additional responsibilities as acting Assistant Commissioner, Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer before being officially appointed to the position on April 12, 2011.
Prior to her time with CSC, Ms. Dumas-Sluyter occupied management positions in various federal departments and agencies, including Health Canada, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and FINTRAC. She also worked for several years at the Office of the Auditor General where she started her career as an auditor trainee and progressively moved to an Audit Director position.
Ms. Dumas-Sluyter is a Certified Management Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor. She holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration as well as a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Moncton, where she currently serves on the Board of Governors.
