Michele Brenning

Prior to joining the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) in October 2012, Ms. Brenning most recently served as Vice-President Policy, Governance and Communications at the Canada School of Public Service. She has also held executive level positions at Environment Canada as Director General of the Canadian Wildlife Service, and at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada as Director General, Food Policy.

Ms. Brenning started with the federal government in 1984 when she joined Health Canada. She spent the first part of her career working in food inspection in Manitoba. She moved to Ottawa in 1990 with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada where she worked in the areas of national food inspection programs, international trade policy and agri-environment policy.

Ms. Brenning holds a B.Sc. from University of Manitoba and a Masters of Business Administration from University of Ottawa.
