Custodial Procedures - Training

Transcript

Noise: Crowd noises.

Induction Officer: My name is Roundtree. I'm the induction officer. You had six weeks at the regional reception centre. And now you're at the training institution, as well as the medium security penitentiary. All the courses we're offering are voluntary. Nobody is going to force you to do anything. But, if you're like any typical group, and I expect you are, many of you have never been trained for a job, and you don't have any special skill. You'll have that opportunity here. We are full time classes, all the way through high school. And, if you qualify, you can study by correspondence at a couple of universities.

Officer: Hamelin. What do you think you'd like to do? You've got grade ten. Quite intelligent. Could finish high school without much trouble. How 'bout it?
