About the Institution

Atlantic Institution is a maximum security facility located in Renous, New Brunswick. The institution is based on a triangular design model where offender accommodations are direct observation living units.

As part of CSC's efforts to encourage inmates to become law-abiding citizens, CSC offers various national correctional programs.

Work is now underway to increase capacity at the institution. Construction of a new 96-bed maximum-security living unit is expected to be complete in 2013-2014.
