Escape from Ste-Anne-Des-Plaines Institution

Ste-Anne-des-Plaines, Quebec, September 29, 2012 On September 29, 2012, at approximately 6 p.m., during a headcount, personnel of Ste-Anne-des-Plaines Institution, a minimum security federal institution located in Ste-Anne-des-Plaines, discovered that inmate Alex Michaud-Robitaille had escaped.

Alex Michaud-Robitaille, 27 years old, is described as a 174 cm in height, his weight is 67 Kg (148 lb). He has brown eyes and brown hair. He is serving a two year, two month and seven day sentence since April 11, 2012 for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Obstruction of a Public Peace Officer, Mischief and Impaired Driving.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Alex Michaud-Robitaille is asked to contact police.

CSC and Ste-Anne-des-Plaines Institution will be conducting a joint investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and are working with the Sûreté du Québec and Terrebonne Police to locate this offender as quickly as possible.

CSC has given the police all available information to assist in the inmate's apprehension.
