Possible Escape from Warkworth Institution

Campbellford, Ontario, February 9, 2012  - On Thursday, February 9, 2012, inmate Mark Anthony Doyle was discovered missing during the Warkworth Institution 4:20 pm count.  The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the Ontario Provincial Police and a search is actively underway.

Mark Anthony Doyle (48 years old) is described as 190 cm in height and his weight is 83 Kg (183 lbs).  He has blue eyes, a shaved head and the following tattoos; a flying panther on his left breast, dagger on his left forearm and a skull and eagle on his right upper arm. 

He is currently serving a Life sentence for Second Degree Murder and Attempt Murder.  He has also served sentences for Possession of a Narcotic, Prison Breach with Intent, Escape Lawful Custody and a number of property related offences.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mark Anthony Doyle is asked to contact police.

CSC and Warkworth Institution will be conducting a joint investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and are working with the Ontario Provincial Police to locate this inmate as quickly as possible.

CSC has given the police all available information to assist in the inmate's apprehension.
