End of Lockdown and Exceptional Search at Warkworth Institution

Warkworth, Ontario, April 30, 2012 – The lockdown and search at Warkworth Institution initiated on April 27, 2012 has concluded. At approximately 8:00 a.m. on April 30, 2012, the institution returned to normal operations.

Visits to the institution have been re-instated.

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is committed to preventing contraband from entering its institutions. Our efforts contribute towards ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff and inmates.
