Change of Command Ceremony for Grand Valley Institution for Women

Kingston, Ontario, October 24, 2012 – This afternoon at 1:00 p.m., the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) held a Change of Command Ceremony for Grand Valley Institution for Women. This occasion marked the change in command from the outgoing Warden, David Dick, to the incoming Warden Nancy Kinsman.

This ceremony highlights the importance of being a leader within CSC and the responsibilities associated with taking on the role of Warden. It provides CSC with a valuable opportunity to gather together and witness the passing of responsibility for the safety and security of staff, offenders and the community from one person to another.
