Death of Inmate at Regional Treatment Centre

Kingston, Ontario, March 1, 2013 – On Friday, March 1, 2013, inmate Arthur Gray from the Regional Treatment Centre died of natural causes at Kingston General Hospital following a lengthy illness.

At the time of his death, Mr. Gray, 60, was serving a sentence of 3 years 2 months for sexual assault. His sentence had commenced on September 17, 2012. 

Next of kin have been notified.

As in all cases where an individual dies while in custody, the police and coroner have been notified. In addition, the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
