End to Lockdown and Exceptional Search at Warkworth Institution

Campbellford, Ontario, March 5, 2013 – The lockdown and search at Warkworth Institution initiated on February 26, 2013 has concluded. At approximately 15:00 hours, on March 1, 2013, the institution returned to normal operations.

Visits to the institution have been re-instated.

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is committed to preventing contraband from entering its institutions. Our efforts contribute towards ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff and inmates.
