FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ESCAPE FROM NOVA INSTITUTION

TRURO, NS, March 2, 2004 - At approximately 11:40 am, Monday, March 1st 2004, offender Stephanie Rozon was discovered missing during an escorted temporary absence. She was in Moncton for family contact purposes.

She was under the escort of a correctional officer.

Codiac RCMP - Moncton were notified immediately of the incident.

Born in Montreal, Quebec, Stephanie Rozon is 29 years old. She has long brown hair and green eyes. She is approximately 5-feet 4-inches, weighing 115 pounds.

At the time of her escape, she was wearing green pants, a black hooded sweater, black boots and gloves.

Stephanie Rozon began serving a second federal sentence in October 2003 a 4-year sentence for various non-violent property related offences such as theft, theft of credit cards, failure to comply, attempt to commit robbery, attempt to commit armed robbery, and possession of weapon.

Correctional Service Canada is collaborating closely with the police and will conduct its own investigation into the incident.
