FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DORCHESTER, NB, March 30, 2006 - Two inmates have escaped from the minimum security Westmorland Institution in the village of Dorchester, New Brunswick.

Vincent Mallory and Rory Breen, both 20 years old, were noticed missing during the 07:00 hour count today, March 30, 2006.

Vincent Mallory is serving a sentence of 6 years, 1 month for break and enter and a series of other offences for theft.

Rory Breen is serving a sentence of 2 years, 9 months for break and enter.

The RCMP have been notified of the incident. CSC cooperates fully with the police investigation.

The Correctional Service of Canada will conduct a review of all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
