FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ASSAULT AT ATLANTIC INSTITUTION
RENOUS, NB, November 7, 2006 - On Tuesday, November 7th, 2006, at approximately 11:15 am, an employee was assaulted by an inmate. The employee was treated at a local hospital and returned to the institution later that afternoon.
The inmate was segregated and the RCMP is investigating.
Atlantic Institution is a maximum-security institution located in the village of Renous, New Brunswick.
