FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TRURO, NS, November 27, 2007 - At approximately 12:00 hrs on November 23rd, 2007, a lockdown was put into place and still exists, as searching takes place for a missing tool.

This is standard procedure for the safety of staff and inmates.

The warden will be assessing the situation as time goes on to determine when to return to normal.

The Institution has remained calm and is secure.

Nova is a multi-level institution for federally sentenced women, currently housing 64 inmates.
