FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DEATH OF AN OFFENDER AT DORCHESTER PENITENTIARY

Dorchester, (New Brunswick), November 23 2008 - Federal offender Henry JACKSON died of natural causes on Sunday November 23, 2008 at Dorchester Penitentiary.

Mr. Jackson, who was 80- years old, was serving an indeterminate sentence for causing bodily harm with intent to wound.

The police and coroner have been notified. The death may be the subject of a coroner's inquest as is common with any death of a person in custody.
