FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
GRAVENHURST, ON, April 30, 2004 - Persons unknown attempted to introduce a large quantity of drugs into Fenbrook Institution. Through security intelligence information, cooperation with the Ontario Provincial Police and our drug interdiction practices (specifically the canine unit), the drug shipment was intercepted at the main entrance of the facility. A quantity of drugs with an institution value of $35,000 was turned over to police.
Fenbrook Institution staff continue to work with the Ontario Provincial Police to identify the persons involved.
