FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GRAVENHURST, ON, October 1, 2004 - Richard Brewer was noticed missing at 1645 hours while correctional officers conducted a normal count of inmates. OPP were notified at 1928 hours and subject's whereabouts remain unknown.

Mr. Brewer commenced his sentence September 17, 1987 serving 31 years for armed robbery with disguise. He is described as 5'10", 190 lbs., white male with short brown hair and blue eyes. Richard Brewer arrived at Fenbrook Institution on August 14, 2001. He has a prior escape from Pittsburgh Institution in 1998.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of this person is asked to immediately contact their local police.

CSC and the OPP will be investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident.
