DEATHS AT KINGSTON PENITENTIARY
KINGSTON, ON, February 8, 2005 - Claude Lefler, a 64 year old inmate serving a life sentence for second degree murder died of natural causes in the Regional Hospital at Kingston Penitentiary on February 5, 2005. Mr. Lefler was sentenced on August 30, 1994 in Stratford Ontario. His parole eligibility date was May 9, 2009. Next of kin have been notified.
James McInnes a 62 year old inmate serving a life sentence for second degree murder died of natural causes in the Regional Hospital at Kingston Penitentiary on February 6, 2005. Mr. McInnes was sentenced on June 27, 1991 in Milton Ontario. His parole eligibility date was March 16, 2013. Next of kin have been notified.
Coroner's inquests will be convened at a later date.
