FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CAMPBELLFORD, ON, April 26, 2005 - At approximately 2140 hours on April 25th, 2005 there was a stabbing of an offender. The offender was treated at outside hospital for non-life threatening wounds. The OPP Investigation Unit is on site and will continue with their investigation.

The institution is currently locked down pending further investigation and searching. Visits and programs have been suspended until further notice.

The Correctional Service of Canada is committed to ensuring the safety of the public, staff and offenders.
