FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ESCAPES FROM FRONTENAC INSTITUTION

KINGSTON, ON, June 24, 2005 - On June 24, 2005, at the 21:00 count, two offenders were reported missing from Frontenac Institution. Shortly thereafter, Brian Malloy, was apprehended in the immediate vicinity of the institution after he called police indicating that he wished to turn himself in. Brian Malloy is serving a 10 year, 3 month sentence for property offences which commenced in 2000.

Missing is Russell Scott, serving 6½ years for break and enter and commit. The vast majority of offences are property related and a driving while impaired conviction. Russell Scott is a 45 year old Caucasian male, 5' 4'' and weighs 188 lb and has brown hair. At the time of his current offence, Russell Scott was living in Toronto.

The institutional property was thoroughly searched and the Police were immediately notified. Correctional Service staff are working closely with police to assist them in locating this offender.

Anyone with information of the whereabouts of this person is asked to contact the local police.
