FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

KINGSTON, ON, August 15, 2005 - On Monday August 8, 2005 while conducting a search Kingston Penitentiary, staff found a note indicating that a visitor was going to attempt to bring drugs into the institution. The visitor was interviewed upon arrival and admitted that she was asked to bring drugs in on the visit but had hidden them elsewhere. The drugs were surrendered to police by the visitor. All together 90 grams of hashish and 18 grams of marijuana were seized. The drugs have an institutional value of $12,000.
