FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CAMPBELLFORD, ON, October 4, 2005 - On October 4, 2005 institutional staff found an unsigned note in the inmate mail indicating that there were three bombs within the institution. The CSC took immediate steps to ensure the safety of staff and inmates.

The institution has been locked down to facilitate a search of the institution and visits and programs have been suspended until further notice.

CSC's Risk Management Protocol has been initiated.

Police have been notified and CSC will be working with them to ensure the safety of the institution and the public.

CSC is committed to ensuring the safety of the public, staff and inmates.
