FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ASSAULT AT COLLINS BAY INSTITUTION - UPDATE
KINGSTON, ON, October 14, 2005 - At approximately 2050 hours on Monday, October 10, 2005, staff responding to an alarm discovered that an inmate had been the victim of a serious assault. The inmate has been released from outside hospital and is returning to the institution today.
The institution returned to normal operations this morning following completion of the search.
Visits for all offenders have resumed.
The police investigation continues.
