FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

KINGSTON, ON, October 17, 2005 - Harold Noah, a 67 year old offender serving a life sentence commencing January 1978 for second degree murder, was discovered unresponsive in his hospital cell on the morning of October 16, 2005. He was pronounced dead at approximately 0030 hours.

The cause of his death is not considered suspicious. A coroner's inquest will be convened at a later date.
