FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

JOYCEVILLE, ON, November 21, 2005 - At approximately 0700 hours on November 21, staff conducting a routine range walk discovered inmate Stephen Earley in his cell, exhibiting no signs of life. Staff responded shortly thereafter and commenced medical resuscitation. The inmate was pronounced dead at the Institution by the Coroner at 0930 hours.

Stephen Earley was a 28 year old offender, serving a life sentence for Second Degree Murder. His sentence commenced in June 2001.

The Joint Forces Penitentiary Squad and the Coroner will be conducting their respective investigations.
