FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CAMPBELLFORD, ON, May 8, 2006 - At approximately 2010 on May 5, 2006, Warkworth Institution inmate William John Farrows-Shelley died of natural causes while at Peteborough Regional Hospital.

Mr. Farrows-Shelley was serving an indeterminate sentence for sexual assault causing bodily harm, acts of gross indecency and overcome resistance. He was sentenced on August 3rd, 1984.

A Coroner's inquest will be held at a future date.
