FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

KINGSTON, ON, June 6, 2006 - On June 1st, 2006 at approximately 1105 hours, Warkworth Institution inmate David Paton died of natural causes while at Kingston General Hospital.

Mr. Paton was serving a 6 year, 6 month sentence for aggravated assault, criminal harassment and assault with a weapon. He was sentenced on February 10th, 2003.

A coroner's inquest will be held at a future date.
