FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

KINGSTON, ON, July 18, 2006 - On July 14, 2006 at approximately 1930 hours, Warkworth Institution inmate Sydney Clarke died of natural causes while at Kingston General Hospital.

Mr. Clarke was serving a life sentence for second degree murder. His sentence commenced December 6, 1982.

A coroner's inquest will be held at a future date.
