FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ESCAPE FROM FRONTENAC INSTITUTION

KINGSTON, ON, September 20, 2006 - At the 16:30 count an inmate was found to be missing. An immediate search was conducted of the property and he was not located. Frontenac Institution is a minimum security facility.

Missing is Joseph Watson, he is serving a sentence of 4 years and 6 months for mischief in relation to property, break and enter, possession of break-in instruments, obstruct police, escape lawful custody, and possession of narcotics. His sentence commenced January 5, 2005. His statutory release is January 4, 2008 and warrant expiry is July 4, 2009.

Police were immediately notified and his whereabouts remain unknown.

The Correctional Service of Canada will be conducting an investigation into the escape.

Anyone with information of the whereabouts of this person is asked to contact the local police.
