FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

KITCHENER, ON, January 7, 2007 - At approximately 1530 hours on January 6, 2007 inmate Judy Howard passed away of natural causes after a lengthy history of medical illness.

Ms. Howard was 65 years old, serving a 9 year sentence for criminal negligence causing death. Her sentence commenced May 23, 2003. Ms Howard had been at Grand Valley Institution since June 23, 2003. Funeral arrangements are underway.
