FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CAMPBELLFORD, ON, January 8, 2007 - As a result of an investigation by the Security Intelligence Office at Warkworth Institution, on January 5, 2007, an inmate visitor was arrested after attempting to smuggle contraband drugs through a Private Family visit. Two packages seized contained approximately 74 grams of what is believed to be marijuana with an approximate institutional value of $3,700.

CSC has a zero tolerance policy on drugs in our institutions. It is through the professionalism of staff and the cooperation of police officials that the prevention of the entry of drugs into our institutions is possible.
