FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Kingston, Ontario, July 17, 2007 - Yesterday at approximately 4:15 pm staff were conducting a routine search in one of our self-contained apartment styled housing units, when they discovered a number of contraband items and drugs. The following items were seized in a common area of the living unit: 46 ecstasy pills with an estimated institutional value of $1150, 16 grams of magic mushrooms (psilocybin) estimated institutional value of $160, 2 - 10ml vials of steroids (testosterone), 2 syringes, 2 cellular phones, 2 cellular phone chargers, 13 pornographic CDs and 12 burnt CD / DVDs.

The Correctional Service of Canada has no tolerance for drugs within our facilities. As a result of the timely and excellent work by our correctional officers we were able seize these drugs and contraband items.
