FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CONTRABAND AT JOYCEVILLE INSTITUTION
KINGSTON, ON, December 3, 2007 - On Saturday, December 1, 2007, a visitor attempted to introduce a quantity of drugs into Joyceville Institution. Fifty-five (55) grams of marijuana was recovered from the visitor.
The institutional value of the contraband is approximately $5,500.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Penitentiary Squad was contacted and both the inmate and visitor have been charged.
