LOCKDOWN AT JOYCEVILLE INSTITUTION

JOYCEVILLE, ON, May 1, 2008 - On Thursday, May 1st, 2008 inmates at Joyceville Institution have been placed under lockdown status.

The lockdown has been put in place in order to facilitate a search of the facility while ensuring the continued safety and security of the public, staff and inmates.

The facility will reopen once institutional management determines that it is safe to do so.

Inmate visiting has been cancelled until further notice.
