FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
END OF LOCKDOWN DISTURBANCE AT MILLHAVEN INSTITUTION
BATH, ON, June 4, 2008 - The lockdown for the Maximum Security Unit Inmates at Millhaven Institution ended late yesterday. The institution has been placed on modified routine. Authorized visits have been reinstated. Institutional Management will continue to assess in order to determine when it is safe to return to regular routine.
Ensuring the safety and security of institutions, staff, and public remains the highest priority in the operations of the federal correctional system.
