FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DEATH AT MILLHAVEN INSTITUTION

BATH, ON, June 25, 2008 - On June 24, 2008, Dave Delorme an inmate from Millhaven Institution died of an unknown cause. While the exact cause of death has not been confirmed, foul play is not suspected.

Mr. Delorme was 43 years old and serving a three year sentence for aggravated assault. Next of kin have been notified.

As in all cases where an individual dies while in custody, the police and coroner are called in to investigate. In addition, the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
