UPDATE ON ATTEMPT ESCAPE AT KINGSTON PENITENTIARY

KINGSTON, ON, August 18, 2008 - Following the escape attempt of two inmates on Friday August 15, 2008, Kingston Penitentiary remains locked down. An enhanced search is currently being conducted.

Visits to Kingston Penitentiary are occurring as scheduled.

Due to the ongoing police investigation into this incident, there is no further information available at this time.
