FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DEATH OF AN OFFENDER AT KINGSTON PENITENTIARY

Kingston, (Ontario), December 15, 2008 -Federal offender Douglas MICHIE died of natural causes on Monday December 15, 2008 at Kingston Penitentiary.

Mr. MICHIE, who was 40- years old, was serving a life sentence for second degree murder.

The police and coroner have been called to investigate.
