FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DEATH OF AN OFFENDER AT MILLHAVEN INSTITUTION
Bath, (ON) December 30, 2008 - Federal offender Roch VERNIER died of natural causes on December 27, 2008 at Millhaven Institution.
Mr. Vernier, who was 50 years old, was serving a 4 year sentence for aggravated assault.
The police and coroner have been called to investigate. In addition, the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances surrounding this incident.
