LOCKDOWN AT WARKWORTH INSTITUTION

CAMPBELLFORD, (Ontario), January 30, 2009 - In the interest of the safety and security of the institution, the Warden has placed the institution on lockdown and ordered an exceptional search for unauthorized items and contraband.

Searching of the institution is ongoing and normal institutional operations are suspended until the conclusion of the search.

The facility will reopen once institutional management determines that it is safe to do so.
