TOBACCO SEIZURE AT WARKWORTH INSTITUTION

Campbellford, On – July 09TH, 2009M – On Tuesday, July 07th, 2009 staff members intercepted a suspicious legal correspondence package addressed to an inmate. Upon further investigation, the package contained 212.8 grams of tobacco which has an institutional value of approximately $2500.00

Tobacco has been an unauthorized item within Federal Correctional Facilities since 2008.

Preventing drugs and tobacco products from entering our institutions is an ongoing challenge; however, it is the diligent work of our staff that tackle this challenge.
