EXCEPTIONAL SEARCH JOYCEVILLE INSTITUTION

Joyceville, (Ontario), July 20, 2009 - Following the discovery by staff of weapons in a common area on Monday July 20,2009, the Institutional Head has locked down 1D range in order to facilitate a search of the range while ensuring the continued safety and security of the public, staff and inmates.

Members of the public attending the institution for visits are asked to contact the institution first.

The routine of the rest of the institution is unaffected.
