DISCOVERY OF UNAUTHORIZED ITEMS

Joyceville, Ontario, September 9, 2009 – On Tuesday, September 8, 2009, Correctional Officers at Joyceville Institution intercepted a package containing four bales of tobacco and rolling papers that unknown persons had attempted to throw over the fence. The institutional value of this seizure is approximately $4,000.00.

Preventing drugs and unauthorized items from entering our institutions is an ongoing challenge for CSC and it's through the diligence of our staff that this seizure was made.
