FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DEATH BY NATURAL CAUSES - KINGSTON PENITENTIARY

Kingston, Ontario, January 15, 2010 - At approximately 2:00 p.m. on January 14, 2010, Kingston Penitentiary inmate Angelo Burzese passed away from natural causes at Kingston General Hospital.

Next of kin have been contacted.

Angelo Burzese was serving a 13 year sentence, beginning July 23, 1996, for numerous robberies and assaults and one count of Break and Enter. He was eligible for day parole June 4, 2005, full parole December 4, 2005, and statutory release March 25, 2008. His warrant was to expire July 08, 2010.

As in all cases where an individual dies while in custody, the police and coroner have been notified.
