FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

INMATE DEATH, KINGSTON PENITENTIARY- REGIONAL TREATMENT CENTRE

Kingston, Ontario, March 15, 2010 - At approximately 0100 hours on March 14, 2010, William Robert Scott passed away from natural causes at the Regional Treatment Centre.

Scott was a 69-year-old offender serving a life sentence for second degree murder. His sentence began December 14, 1990.

As in all cases where an individual dies while in custody, the police and coroner have been notified.
