FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

INMATE DEATH BATH INSTITUTION

Bath Ontario, April 1, 2010 - On Wednesday March 31, 2010 at approximately 2:20 am, Marcel JOLY, an inmate from Bath Institution, died at the Kingston General Hospital from natural causes.

Marcel Joly was serving a life sentence for Second Degree Murder. His sentence began December 05, 1994. Next of kin have been notified.

As in all cases where an individual dies while in custody, the police and coroner have been notified. Correctional Service of Canada will also review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
