WARKWORTH INSTITUTION RETURN TO NORMAL OPERATIONS

CAMPBELLFORD, ON, August 1, 2010 –- The exceptional search initiated by the Acting Warden on Friday July 30, 2010 has concluded and the Institution will be gradually returning to a normal routine commencing with the evening meal.

Visits will also return to normal with the next regularly scheduled visits on Tuesday.

There were no injuries to staff or inmates during this lockdown and the Institution is currently quiet and secure. Correctional Service Canada’s primary objective remains the safety and security of our Institutions and the general public.
