FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
END TO EXCEPTIONAL SEARCH - JOYCEVILLE INSTITUTION
KINGSTON, ONTARIO, May 13, 2011 – The exceptional search at Joyceville Institution initiated on Monday, April 25, 2011 has concluded. The Institution is operating on a modified routine.
During the search, staff seized a number of contraband items.
Visits will be re-instated effective Monday May 16, 2011.
Ensuring the safety and security of institutions, staff and public remains the highest priority in the operation of the federal correctional system.
