DRUG SEIZURE – FENBROOK INSTITUTION

Gravenhurst Ontario, October 04, 2011 – On Friday, September 30, 2011, Correctional Officers at Fenbrook Institution intercepted an inmate visitor attempting to bring drugs into the institution. The package is believed to have contained 17 grams of marijuana with an institutional value estimated at approximately $1700.00. 

With the assistance of the Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police Detachment, the visitor was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

CSC works closely with local police agencies and communities to prevent drugs from entering its institutions. CSC also works in partnership with the police to prosecute any individuals who attempt to have contraband brought into correctional institutions.
